Bills safety Jordan Poyer and the rest of the Buffalo defense weren’t too happy about Smith-Schuster’s pregame show. After the Bills won 26-15, Poyer admitted seeing the Steelers star dance on the team’s logo helped motivate the team to hand Pittsburgh its second loss of the season.
“We felt the momentum of the game swing,” Poyer said, via Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com. “And I ain’t going to lie. Seeing them dancing on our logo pre-game and seeing all that, that turns you up a little bit. It kind of gives you a little second itch to come out and play with some extra fire. We were hyped up on the sideline, we had a big win. And we were just having fun.”
That extra motivation paid off for the Bills defense too, as they recorded two interceptions on Sunday night, one of which was returned for a touchdown. They also limited the Steelers to 224 yards and two touchdowns.
On offense, Josh Allen threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns against one interception.
